We Luv Tea Parties!

Anna just loves to have tea parties and invite all of her stuffed friends!
She even invited her little brother, who loves to go around the table and drink everyone's tea!
Yes this is breakfast! Bluberries for Anna and Peanut Butter for Gabe. Just need a spoon!

This Peanut Butter eating is a serious buisness!

Anna Snow White smiles happily as she enjoys her non-poisoned blueberries!

Happy 3rd B-Day Gabe!

For a child who is on a special diet he sure got to eat a lot of cake this holiday season! As you can see he is shoving in his Birthday cake with fervor!

One of Gabriel's favorite songs is Happy Birthday, especially when it is for him, here he is just lovin being the center of the days attention!
Here is our adult table. The Mahon family and the Effler family came over to celebrate this special occasion with us!

Here is the kids table sitting eating Gabriel's favorite meal, PASTA!

Somehow we did not get any pictures of Gabriel opening presents, but he got some awesome toys including a HUGE Tonka Truck, a play guitar, and some cool animal puzzles!

2009 comes to an end!

Bathtime is still our favorite way to end the day. Anna and Gabriel love taking their bath together, probably because it turns out more to be like pooltime than bathtime. As you can see they were showing off for the camera with their best craziness!
We were so excited to have the Roach family come and join us to ring in the new year! We took like 20 pictures of these adorable boys trying to get them to look at the camera at the same time, but in the end we are just going to have to settle for joint attention!
We got one more little dusting before the year ended and Anna and Gabe took full advantage of the snow eating opportunity!

We also has our friends the Mossmans over for New Years day and while Anna and a bunch of the kids were running around chasing kittens Gabriel was enjoying the company of Olivia!

We also has our friends the Abernathy family over right before the new year and their daughter Andrea and Anna were quick friend united in their love for our kittens. (Which by the way all found new homes right after the New Year!)

Christmas Gifts!

The kids were blessed to recieve some wonderful gifts Christmas gifts! Below you can see Gabriel loving his rocking horse, testing the limits of it's flipability!

Here is Anna playing with her Kitchen set, making us all tea to wash down Jesus' Birthday cake!

Daddy is helping Anna with her new jewlery making kit!

Anna's favorite though was her new school workbooks she recieved. She went to work right away!

The winner with Gabriel was a train set! He's getting so big so fast I think we need a little more track already so he can sit in the middle of it like he likes to do!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

This was our first Christmas at home since this branch of the Garner family was begun! It was a wonderfully peaceful Christmas! Below you can see our tree and stockings all ready for Christmas morning. Jesus blessed us abundantly this year!
Our Christmas tradition is to bake a Birthday cake for Jesus each year...
Then Christmas morning we sing Happy Birthday to Jesus...

Then we eat cake for breakfast!!!

This is one tradition that Gabriel can really sink his teeth into!

Snow for Christmas

Despite the fact that our area of the foothills had not seen a good snow storm in 15 years, we were blessed enough to be a part of it. We got almost a foot of snow the week of Christmas, it was awesome!
Anna, being the strong independent woman that she is decided to build a snowwoman instead of a snow man. Appropriate considering she and I built it while daddy and Gabey took a nap!
I think this picture says it all! Look out world here comes Anna Kathleen Garner!

We went through ALOT of glove changes! Seeing as we don't usually get snow, we don't own water proof gloves. So mommy carried half a dozen pairs in her jacket and switched them out as needed!

Gabriel loved being pulled along in the tobogan, as he can eat snow at the same time that way which was his favorite part of the snow! The smile on his face below tells just how yummy all that glorious snow was to him!!!

Dec. Mish Mosh

We made some new friends recently with the Mossman family from Florida. They have moved in to join our other friends, the Gibsons, in their ministry at North Cove Fellowship Retreat Center. The Mossman Family is 11 strong, having 9 children ranging from ages 16 to 1. Anna is closest to age with her new best friend Esther who is 6 years old. They have a 4 year old boy Miciah, who is just one month younger than Anna, but boys just don't have the same flare as girls at this stage. All the children get along wonderfully and here is a combination of kids from the three families sitting nicely and watching a video together. Good thing you can't hear noise from a picture:)

We had the Youth Group Christmas Party at our house last week, and Gabe was just loving it. Here he is with Freddy, very carefully stealing Doritos and cupcakes. Needless to say the diet was lost that night but we have been very careful since then to make up for it!

In case you did not know we brought home a stray cat that had taken residence at the school and named her Seraphina. We were not quite fast enough in getting her fixed and ended up with an adorable litter of kittens. Here is Anna making sure all inwell with momma and kitties.

We had a great sleepover with Hannah and Jeramiah Harris! This is a very energy filled group. I did manage to get them all together for a while focused on Playdough! They had a wonderful time!

OK here is the story: Anna yells from the other end of the house, "mommy come here, come here." I proceed toward her bathroom where the voice is coming from thinking I'm on bottom wiping duty again. Anna comes out of the bathroom playing with the front of her hair saying very dramatically, "A squirrel nibbled off my hair, a squirrel nibbled off my hair!" Surprised, dismayed, and half laughing, I try to get the confession. "Anna was it really a squirrel that cut off the bangs in your hair?" She replys with all seriousness and flare, "It might have been a beaver?!" What do you say to that??? Well we did a tiny trim and bangs it is!
